Privacy Policy

MyTradeSite ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Cornerstone Digital, a trading name of Snap Media Ltd, based in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it, and who else handles it. It's written to be read, not filed.

What we collect from you

When you create an account, we collect your business name, your name, email address, phone number and business address, plus what you tell us about your trade, services and the areas you cover so we can write your website. If you use the estimator, we handle the job descriptions and photos you give it. If you invoice through MyTradeSite, we hold the bank details you enter so they can appear on your invoices.

Your customers' details

Your website's quote form collects your customers' names, phone numbers, email addresses, job locations and descriptions. That information is yours: you decide what it's used for, and we handle it only on your behalf — to store it, alert you to the lead, send the quotes and invoices you create, and send the review request you set up. Each website has its own privacy page (yourname.mytradesite.uk/privacy) that explains this to your customers and names you as the business responsible.

How we use it

To generate and host your website, run the dashboard tools (leads, quotes, invoicing, estimator), send you lead alerts by text and email, take payment through Stripe, and let you know about changes to the service. We don't sell your data or your customers' data to anyone.

Who else handles it

These are the services that actually receive data. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Stripe — your subscription and card payments. We never see your card number.
  • Supabase — the database and file storage everything lives in.
  • Anthropic — the AI that writes your website text, drafts quotes from your job notes, powers the estimator (including any photos you give it), and drafts social posts and photo captions. It receives what you type or upload for those tools, not your customers' contact details.
  • Resend — sends every email: your login links, lead alerts, and the quotes, invoices and review requests that go to your customers.
  • Twilio — sends the text messages: your lead alerts, your login codes, and the texts to any workers you assign jobs to. A lead alert carries the customer's name, number and what they asked for.
  • Google Search Console — we read how your website performs in Google search (queries, clicks, impressions). No personal data goes to Google for this.
  • Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (the Facebook pixel) and Microsoft Clarity — on mytradesite.uk only, to understand how visitors use this site and measure our advertising. None of these run on your website, and Clarity does not record your dashboard.
  • Unsplash — stock photos on your website are loaded from Unsplash until you replace them with your own, so Unsplash sees a visitor's IP address when they load.

Our server also keeps standard technical logs — IP address, page requested, browser type — for security, for up to 30 days.

Cookies

On mytradesite.uk we use two essential cookies: one that keeps you logged in, and one that remembers your cookie choice. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Clarity) are only set if you press Accept on the cookie banner — until then, and if you press Reject, none of those services load at all. You can change your mind any time: . Your own website sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all.

Your data: copies and deletion

You can download your leads, quotes and invoices as spreadsheets yourself at any time from the dashboard (Finances → Your accounts). For a copy of anything else we hold about you, email hello@cornerstonedigital.co.uk and we'll send it to you, normally within a few days and always within a month.

You can delete your account yourself from the dashboard (Account → Delete account). That removes your website, leads, quotes, invoices and photos straight away and cancels your subscription.

If you cancel your subscription instead, your website goes offline and we'll email you to say what we're still holding. We keep your leads, quotes and invoices so that everything comes back exactly as it was if you subscribe again. Ask and we'll delete them — email hello@cornerstonedigital.co.uk, or reply to that email, and it's done. We keep the payment records we're required to keep for tax purposes.

Under UK GDPR you also have the right to have anything we hold about you corrected, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've got something wrong.
