MyTradeSite ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Cornerstone Digital, a trading name of Snap Media Ltd, based in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it, and who else handles it. It's written to be read, not filed.
When you create an account, we collect your business name, your name, email address, phone number and business address, plus what you tell us about your trade, services and the areas you cover so we can write your website. If you use the estimator, we handle the job descriptions and photos you give it. If you invoice through MyTradeSite, we hold the bank details you enter so they can appear on your invoices.
When you sign up, we record how you found us (for example, a link from PriceMyJob or a Google search). This is stored with your account and used only to understand which channels bring customers.
If you use the free estimator (mytradesite.uk/estimator), we keep the job description you type to improve the estimator. We don't keep your IP address.
Your website's quote form collects your customers' names, phone numbers, email addresses, job locations and descriptions. That information is yours: you decide what it's used for, and we handle it only on your behalf — to store it, alert you to the lead, send the quotes and invoices you create, and send the review request you set up. If you switch on the phone calendar link, your booked jobs — with those customers' names, numbers and addresses — are served to whichever calendar app you subscribe with it (Google, Apple, Outlook), and to anyone else who has the link; you can reset it at any time. Each website has its own privacy page (yourname.mytradesite.uk/privacy) that explains this to your customers and names you as the business responsible.
The website check at mytradesite.uk/website-check needs only a website address. We read that website's public pages, test it with Google's PageSpeed service and look up the business's Google profile, and we keep the result so a repeat check the same day gives the same answer.
If you ask for a preview, we also take your name and mobile number and text you a code to check the number is yours. To build the preview we copy your business details, logo and photos from the website you gave us and show them on one page at a private link. Only people with the link can see it; it isn't listed anywhere or shown to search engines. We use your name and number to ring you about the preview, and for nothing else. We don't add you to any marketing list.
A preview is deleted 30 days after it's made: the copied photos and details are removed and the link stops working. Your name, number and the website address stay with us like any other enquiry, and we'll delete them if you ask. You can take a preview down yourself at any time with the "Take this down" link at the top of it. If you own a website and someone else made a preview of it, email hello@cornerstonedigital.co.uk and we'll remove it and stop the form making new ones.
If you ask for a preview on our homepage, we take your trade, the town you're based in and your mobile number, plus either your website address or the Google profile you pick. We text you a code to check the number is yours (we never keep the code itself). Then we read your website's public pages, or your Google profile's name, phone number, rating and reviews, and build a preview site at a private link that isn't shown to search engines. We text you that link once, and Eric rings you about it. We use your number for that and nothing else, and we don't add you to any marketing list.
The preview is deleted after 8 days unless you decide to go ahead. We keep a short record of each request (source, trade, town, your number and what happened) so we can stop the form being misused; ask us and we'll delete it.
To generate and host your website, run the dashboard tools (leads, quotes, invoicing, estimator), send you lead alerts by text and email, take payment through Stripe, and let you know about changes to the service. We don't sell your data or your customers' data to anyone.
These are the services that actually receive data. Each has its own privacy policy.
Our server also keeps standard technical logs — IP address, page requested, browser type — for security, for up to 30 days.
On mytradesite.uk we use two essential cookies: one that keeps you logged in, and one that remembers your cookie choice. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Clarity) are only set if you press Accept on the cookie banner — until then, and if you press Reject, none of those services load at all. You can change your mind any time: . Your own website sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all.
You can download your leads, quotes and invoices as spreadsheets yourself at any time from the dashboard (Finances → Your accounts). For a copy of anything else we hold about you, email hello@cornerstonedigital.co.uk and we'll send it to you, normally within a few days and always within a month.
You can delete your account yourself from the dashboard (Account → Delete account). That removes your website, leads, quotes, invoices and photos straight away and cancels your subscription.
If you cancel your subscription instead, your website goes offline and we'll email you to say what we're still holding. We keep your leads, quotes and invoices so that everything comes back exactly as it was if you subscribe again. Ask and we'll delete them — email hello@cornerstonedigital.co.uk, or reply to that email, and it's done. We keep the payment records we're required to keep for tax purposes.
Under UK GDPR you also have the right to have anything we hold about you corrected, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've got something wrong.
