Your free domain — how it works

Most platforms charge extra for a custom domain. We include it. Here's how it works in plain English.

Pick your domain in the dashboard

1. Go to Website → Domain in your dashboard.
2. Type the name you'd like (e.g. premier-plumbing-poole).
3. Pick the ending: .co.uk, .uk, or .com.
4. Hit Check. We'll tell you if it's available.
5. If it is, click Get this domain free — that sends a request straight to me. (The button is live once you've subscribed — the domain is bought when you subscribe.)

What happens next

I register the domain in our company name, set up DNS, install the SSL certificate, and point it at your website. You'll usually be on your new domain within a day. No DNS faff, no separate registrar bills, no expiry dates to track.

The honest bit

Because we register and manage the domain on your behalf, it stays active as long as you're subscribed. If you ever decide to leave MyTradeSite and want to take the domain with you, we'll transfer it to your own account for a one-off £25 admin fee. That's it. No lock-in tricks.

Already own a domain?

That works too — no extra cost. For now it's done by hand: WhatsApp Eric with the domain and he'll tell you the two DNS records to add (or add them for you if he manages your DNS), then point it at your site. Your mytradesite.uk address keeps working and redirects to it.
