Leads & Jobs
Receiving lead alerts by text and email
When a customer fills out your contact form, you get a text and an email within seconds with their name, number, and what they need.
Most tradesmen lose work because they can't answer the phone when they're up a ladder. MyTradeSite fixes this without you needing to do anything different.
What happens when a customer enquires
- Customer visits your site and fills out your contact form.
- You get a text message within seconds. It's short on purpose — the customer's name, what they want, and their number: "New lead: Sarah J, Boiler repair. Call 07700900123".
- You also get an email with the full enquiry — their location and anything they wrote in the message box.
- The lead appears in your dashboard's Leads tab automatically, ready to quote.
Tap to call back
The number in the text is tappable — tap it and your phone offers to call them straight back. Most customers expect a callback within an hour; if you call within 5 minutes you'll convert dramatically more.
Pipeline tracking
Every enquiry flows through these stages: New → Contacted → Quoted → Booked → Complete → Paid. You can update the stage by tapping the lead in your dashboard. The pipeline gives you a clear view of how many jobs are in the air at any time and how much money's in progress.
Where the alerts go
Texts go to the phone number you signed up with; emails go to your business email. To change either, go to Website → Pages → Homepage and update your phone or email field.
What about WhatsApp?
No. Lead alerts are text and email. If that ever changes, this page will say so — and you can always WhatsApp Eric yourself about anything.
